LEVEL 4 CERTIFICATE in LASER, LIGHT AND INTENSE PULSE LIGHT (IPL) TREATMENTS COURSE OVERVIEW This practical and knowledge-based qualification has been created to further develop and equip practitioners with skills competencies and expertise in using Laser, light and energy-based devices to rejuvenate the skin and reduce or remove skin imperfections and mild pigmentary conditions. Students will gain knowledge on Hair reduction using laser, light and energy-based devices and will be able to use a laser, intense light sources and aesthetic energy-based devices for hair growth reduction. WHAT IS COVERED? LEVEL 4 CERTIFICATE in MICROBLADING TO ENHANCE EYEBROWS COURSE OVERVIEW This practical and knowledge-based qualification has been created to further develop and equip practitioners with skills competencies and expertise in using a hand-held microblade to enhance the eyebrows. This qualification will also enable practitioners to gain confidence and practice while gathering evidence in a realistic working environment or real working environment. WHAT IS COVERED? Health, safety and hygiene for aesthetic procedures Client consultation for aesthetic procedures Microblading techniques to enhance eyebrows ENTRY REQUIREMENTS ​Learners must be aged 18 years and above. A Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline. LEVEL 5 CERTIFICATE in LASER TATTOO REMOVAL COURSE OVERVIEW This qualification will prepare learners for employment and support a range of roles in the workplace. It provides a specialist work-related programme of study that provides breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, along with practical skills required in the aesthetics sector. The VTCT (ITEC) Level 5 Certificate in Laser Tattoo Removal is an advanced therapy qualification aimed at level 4 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add this therapy to their repertoire of treatment offerings. ​ WHAT IS COVERED? This qualification is informed by employers and national occupational standards for beauty therapy and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a fully commercial laser tattoo removal practitioner. Learners must achieve all mandatory units which include: Principles and practice of non-medical aesthetic therapies Advanced consultation for non-medical aesthetic therapies Advanced skin care for non-medical aesthetic therapies Remove or fade tattoos using Q Switched Laser systems Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety pertaining to level 5 non-medical aesthetic therapies. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to consult with and analyse clients whilst providing laser tattoo removal treatments. In parallel, learners will develop their communication and customer service skills and widen their knowledge of the principles and practices of non-medical aesthetic therapies, all of which are valued highly by employers. LEVEL 5 AWARD in MICRONEEDLING or SKIN PEEL Who is this qualification for? The VTCT (ITEC) 5 Award in Skin Peeling Treatments or Skin Needling Treatments is a beauty aesthetic qualification aimed at level 4 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add superficial chemical skin peeling techniques to their repertoire of treatment offerings. What does this qualification cover? This qualification is informed by employers and national and international standards for aesthetic beauty and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a fully commercial superficial skin peeling practitioner. Provide superficial chemical skin peeling treatments OR Skin needling treatments Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant requirements, regulations and safe practice treatment protocols for skin peeling. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice. What could this qualification lead to? The primary purpose of this qualification is to prepare learners for employment or self-employment in the beauty aesthetic industry providing superficial skin peeling treatments. The expected outcome of the Certificate, which is the achievement of a recognised Ofqual UK qualification, is for learners to develop the skills required by organisations and the aesthetic industry globally. The VTCT (ITEC) 6 Award in Mesotherapy Treatments is a beauty aesthetic qualification aimed at level 5 qualified practitioners aged 18 and over, who wish to add Mesotherapy to their repertoire of treatment offerings. WHAT IS COVERED? This qualification is informed by employers and national and international standards for aesthetic beauty and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a fully commercial Mesotherapy practitioner. Learners must achieve the mandatory unit: Enhance Appearance using Mesotherapy Techniques Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant requirements, regulations and safe practice treatment protocols for mesotherapy. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Learners are required to hold a level 5 needling or mesotherapy qualification or equivalent. LEVEL 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice COURSE OVERVIEW The ProQual Level 7 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice provides a nationally recognised qualification for those working in the beauty industry, and who wish to develop and demonstrate their competence at the highest level of aesthetic practice, including the use of dermal fillers and botulinum treatments. AND • Hold a level 6 qualification that includes anatomy and professional practice. AND • Hold a valid first aid at work certificate, that remains valid for the duration of the course. OR • Hold the Level 6 Diploma in Aesthetic Practice, or an equivalent qualification. AND • Hold a valid first aid at work certificate, that remains valid for the duration of the course.
