The VTCT (ITEC) Level 3 Certificate in Access to Aesthetic Therapies is a beauty therapy qualification aimed at learners with no formal background in beauty therapy training, who wish to gain access to additional study of advanced therapy treatments at levels 4 and above.

Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety requirements, anatomy, physiology, and pathology and electrical science, alongside skin analysis and safe practice treatment protocols for facial skin care. Learners will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills required to consult with clients, and provide specific aftercare and home care advice.

LEVEL 3 ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY & PATHOLOGY
COURSE OVERVIEW

The Level 3 Anatomy, Physiology, and Pathology is an online course with 1 face to face theory lesson.
With this qualification learners will gain knowledge of the; structure and function of the body systems and their interdependence on each other, the relative and absolute contraindications and related pathologies.
Throughout this qualification Learners will develop their knowledge in:
- The organisation of the body, anatomical terminology, regions, related terms and anatomical structure and functions.
- The structure and function of the body systems and their interdependence on each other
- The relative and absolute contraindications and related pathologies
- The physical, psychological and physiological effects of treatments and therapies

LEVEL 3 AWARD IN EMERGENCY FIRST AID AT WORK
COURSE OVERVIEW
​
This qualification will enable individuals to assess, recognise and manage a casualty with a range of injuries and symptoms. The aim is to develop the knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to carry out emergency first aid in the workplace, including scene surveys and primary surveys of casualties. These will include casualties that are unresponsive and breathing normally, choking, in shock, suffering from external bleeding and minor injuries.

Understand the role and responsibilities of a First Aider.

Assess an incident.

Provide first aid by administrating CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).

Provide first aid to a casualty with minor injury, who is choking, in shock or with external bleeding.
​
Upon successful completion of this qualification, you will become an approved emergency first aider. The Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certificate is valid for three years.
